The Path of Life
In the path of life there is only two roads. There is the high road and the low road.
The high road is rocky, narrow, difficult, and steep. It is cold and lonely and you will get hurt taking this road. Many people who try to take the road will slip and fall, not up to the challenge. But when you get to the peak you can see the entire world spread out at your feet.
The low road is a wide, easy muddy path in the valley that is easy to walk but you end up covered in mud. At the end of road you end up crammed against everyone else because it is so crowded and doing what they are doing. Holding your arm up and shouting out mindless adoration for some bizarre leader figure.
The people on the low road throw stones at those taking the high road, because they are stupid, or spiteful, or jealous and the people on the high road are easy targets. The low roaders know that they themselves are incapable of the climb and want to drag everyone else down to their level.
For those who walk the high path, if you see a part of the path that needs repaired, you are required to fix it. But you have to be careful, because if you are reckless you will slip down and join the filthy masses far below.
